Monthly RoundUp No. 1
A better question than 'what is true' is...'what does it actually look like in practice?' I would even go so far as to say that an unpracticed truth or a truth that is not practiceable is less valuable to human life. ...What's it look like to live well? What's it look like to live complete? Not just to know in my mind, 'here's some things I believe,' or 'here's some things I think,' but how am I living? What's it actually look like to put my feet on the ground and take steps into those directions. // @justinmcroberts ••• We're Roe + E and I can't get over this description of life. A lot of us have things physically and mentally weighing us down. I find when I clear my physically surroundings I think more clearly. I have cultivated an atmosphere to unpack my mind. If you have a hard time focusing start with clearing your spaces. Uncluttered your home, your car and your office. Get rid of useless and unwanted items. If it doesn't add value to your life let - it - go!
Keen & Ready Minimalism http://www.keenready.com/?p=3704 A friend and I was having a conversation last week about people just buying “stuff” that they don’t need and hanging onto it forever. This had me thinking about my own life. I never really had “stuff” because I moved too much after getting my first job with the Feds. What I did have when
Self love isn't about being perfect. People can look at your life from the outside and assume so much about you and still not get to the tip of the ice berg about who you are. The point is to love and accept yourself. People are going to hate you, judge you and try to pick you apart and if you're walking with the Lord they'll really throw some jabs. Give them even more reason to be mad and to wonder by loving exactly who God made you to be and appreciating the season you're in. Everything we have and everything that we go through is for a reason. Embrace your journey, accept who you are and do what needs to be done right now in order to be ready for what God has for you next. #faith #journey
Sometimes habits can blind us to new sources of happiness. When I cut my hair I wrote: - You may not realize how much extra weight you are carrying until something knocks you way down and in your struggle to get back up all you care about is doing away with any and everything that is heavy. And what you once needed so badly to feel special, you don't even want anymore. It's become a burden. Your priorities have changed, your desires have changed. This is the moment that you realize you can let go and you can have less and discover that you've gained much, much more. - Got any letting go stories? Share with me in the comments.
